Giehka - Common Cuckoo
The Giehka package is a three-day hike where we enjoy the area’s nature without covering long distances. On day one, we hike a few kilometres up to the camp site. On day two, tour participants will be abandoned in the countryside for a few hours before being met at a pre-arranged time. This arrangement is inspired by a traditional rite of passage ritual practiced by our fellow indigenous people, the Native Americans.
The objective is that each participant will get time, peace
and quiet to philosophise about life. The untouched nature
creates a fantastic frame. How about laying in the hot sun
on a soft and cosy reindeer hide completely alone with the
only sounds being the murmur of a distant waterfall and
gentle birdsong? You take with you gáhkko and the
mountain’s delicacy dried reindeer meat as snacks. We use
the final day to hike down from the mountain. We have
plenty of time so we don’t have to rush.
